Service Leadership An Opportunity Through Px & Person Centered Care

Healthcare leaders today are in a catch 22 situation – juggling Clinical Outcomes & Management, Operational Metrics and Patient Experience. Each of them is dependent on the other yet, seems so very conflicting.

That is the space for Service Leadership in healthcare organizations. At every level when you have individuals who are both knowledgeable and person centric; it’s easy for the organization to embark on this amazing journey.

Today all accrediting and certifying bodies are looking for that ‘X-Factor’; as most of the healthcare organizations have good to great clinical and medication management Chapters and standards. Which by default has created a set standard on the way to practice and deliver healthcare outcomes consistently. What is missing is Patient Experience. In all of these standards/ protocols/ procedures the patient and patient family is lost…. The poor soul for whom the every healthcare exist to serve.

It’s time to put patient and patient’s family at the center Of Operational Excellence & Service Excellence Delivery.

Ø Inculcate organization culture to service through shared goals on service delivery

Ø Shared Goals to be driven from Organizations Vision, Mission & Core Values

Ø Look with-in the organization on its people management practices – if they are redunt and does not serve the average age of your associates –RE LOOK – CHANGE- ADOPT

Ø Build leadership teams at every level (sure easier said than done – BUT IT’S THE TIME NOW)

Ø As a healthcare leader – WALK-THE -TALK

Ø Most importantly be PATIENT & TRANSPARENT with your associates and partners of care

Do you get results overnight? ….. Nah … but this is the first step ……
